On Saturday 9 October our pastry shop hosted a special event: a social breakfast with the “Le Breakfast lovers“.
It is a sweet October day in which the sun peeps out from the early hours of the morning: the pastry shop is filled with families, kids, regular and non-regular customers… all people who love breakfast at De Santis Santa Croce. The unmistakable smell of freshly baked croissants, the clink of saucers and coffee cups, the counter full of sweets to take home for lunch: it is precisely with this scenario that the day begins, but it is not the usual Saturday morning because a large table inside the pastry shop is set up to host a truly special breakfast.
And this is how the girls from the "Le Colazioniste" group begin to arrive ready to sit on our historic marble tables and to taste every course of the deliciousbreakfast designed by De Santisand to photograph every little detail.
Let's start with the flagship: | ||162i cornetti semplici e al pistacchio appena sfornati. A very soft and fragrant pastry that hides a creamy filling pistachio.
Then come thetarts with cream and berries, a joy for the eyes and the palate. Our Maritozzi in a mignon version couldn't be missing: cream and chocolate chips for traditionalists and ricotta and sour cherry jam for those who love revisiting.
Le sorprese non finiscono qui perché ad abbellire la tavola arrivano anche i ricotta and rum ravioli also come to embellish the table,rusks (both wholemeal and classic versions) with 80% fruit artisanal jams and tastings oftiramisu by the glass.
All these delicious dishes were accompanied bycappuccinos, coffee and milk and, for those with a sweet tooth, thenocciolino, a concentrate of cocoa and hazelnut cream.
The table set up like this, it became the object ofwonder and amazement, not only for our guests, but also for regular customers who appreciated the wonder of ourartisanal products.
For us too it was an importantmoment of celebration for all the commitment and passion that we put into our work every day, from breakfast to the aperitif. Seeing the "fruit" of our work so appreciated and praised made us very happy.
Now we are sure that, seeing all the reportage of the event, you cannot give up a breakfast from De Santis Santa Croce!
