CASATIELLO, PASTIERA, EASTER ROSE, CHEESE PIZZA FOR THE EASTER BREAKFAST: THE WHOLE ARTISAN EASTER LINE 2017

For theEaster breakfast:

  • our excellent Artisan Casatiello, prepared according to an ancient recipe and with a long leavening (6-8 hours) which allows it to maintain fragrance and freshness for longer. The cured meats chosen for the filling of our Casatiello come fromselected companies in the Lazio region, including Norcia. In addition to parmesan, we use one of the few Roman pecorino cheeses still produced in Lazio, of superior quality.
  • laEaster Pizza (o Cheese cake), savory cake inevitable in the Easter breakfast of Central Italy: with provolone, gruyere, pecorino romano, parmesan, eggs, pepper, to accompany the best cured meats or eggs to start the celebrations with taste and lots of genuine conviviality.

For the sweetest momentssweet:

  • thePastiera, a typical Campania dessert, which has crossed regional borders and national becoming one of the Easter desserts par excellence.
  • La Easter Rose or Rose Cake, a typical dessert from the tradition of central Italy, much loved by our grandmothers and great-grandmothers which is, unfortunately, being lost in our memory. We have decided to propose it again in our artisanal Easter line as atribute to the confectionery tradition of our territory and to the memories of our childhood. The cake appears on the outside like a bouquet of flowers, thanks to the special processing of the dough and, during cooking, to the different shades of color that the icing takes on surface. Its preparation is long and complex, which is why it is unfortunately falling into disuse: at least three doughs,long resting times and a finalleavening for at least 12 hours. But it is precisely its complex processing that makes the consistency of this dessert soft, fresh and tasty: a delight for the eyes and the palate!

 

QUALITY PRICELESS? FROM DE SANTIS SANTA CROCE YES, AND IT IS ACCESSIBLE TO EVERYONE

We have nothing against those who give a high price tocraftsmanship, to the use ofraw materials of quality and theexperience of own pastry chefs. Artisanal products with these characteristics have nothing to do with commercial ones and it is right that they have a different price.

However, ours is an idea of ​​craftsmanship for everyone ,with excellent products andpackaging attention to the smallest detail, but prices suitable for all pockets.

It is for this reason that the products of ourEaster Artisan Line range from14 euros ai20 euros. We start from the 'mini' versions for 4-6 people of the Casatiello, the Cheese Pizza and the Easter Rose, around 14 euros, to the normal versions of around one kg: 18-20 euros. Twenty euros/kg also to take home a fragrant pastiera.

Our artisanal dove in the classic version, however, costs 18 euros, while the stuffed Easter doves have a price of 20 euros.
