There are those who say they love Tiramisu and those who lie! Tiramisu is one of the most loved desserts among Italians and among the most popular when it comes to celebrating birthdays and anniversaries.

We have always made it, in different sizes and ingredients, to satisfy tastes and everyone's needs. So as to make it a perfect snack or a special cake.

History

This spoon dessert was born in the city of Treviso. Its ancestor was the “sbatudin”, a poor and energetic dessert based on egg yolk whipped with sugar, destinato soprattutto ai bambini, agli anziani e ai convalescenti per recuperare forze.

At the end of the 1960s, the actor, director and gastronome Giuseppe Maffioli publishes a book, La cucina trevigiana, in which he describes the Venetian custom of consuming the| ||172 zabaione assieme alla panna montata and some dry biscuits called baicoli,typical Venetian.

From the “sbatudin” a truly special dessert was born which would see the light in 1970, as Maffioli himself will testify on | ||178Vin Veneto, the magazine he founded, in the first issue of the year 1981.

“A dessert was born recently, just over two decades ago, in the city of Treviso, the 'Tiramesù', which was proposed for the first time in the restaurant Alle Beccherie by a certain pastry chef from name Loly Linguanotto who, coincidentally, came from recent work experiences in Germany. The dessert and its name "tiramisu", as a highly nutritious and restorative food, immediately became very popular and taken up, with absolute fidelity or with some variations, not only in the restaurants of Treviso and its province, but also throughout the greater Veneto and beyond, in all of Italy. In itself it is basically a 'coffee trifle', but it was not yet 'Tiramesù', and it must be admitted that the 'name' has its own prestigious importance”.

From such simple ingredients, one of thedessert icons of Italian gastronomy was born; and this is why we want to dedicate part of our production toTiramisu.
